1. Curious George. I love this little guy. I always have. Since I was little he's always been my favorite cartoon character. The books and the cartoons always had a sweet simplicity to them. The Curious George movie really captured that feeling well. I've collected some Curious George stuff: toys, a yo-yo, books, etc.
3. Miranda, Maleah, and I have a secret...Maleah is actually a pretty happy baby. You should see her smile. You should hear her squeal. You should see her be content for hours on end. If you have been around Maleah for just a little bit you may not have had those honors. She tends to get fussy sometimes and she is very high maintenance. Or, as I like to say she has "high standards". She might cry when she's hungry or even when she's tired. She likes to be held certain ways when her belly is upset and she can tell if the crying makes you tense...which makes her cry more. I've been there, done that, got spit up on the t-shirt. We've gotten used to the crying - which helps tremendously - now we don't get frustrated and we calmly soothe her. Works like a charm...almost everytime! It is just funny when someone sees her and they say, "oh, she's not crying" or "she actually is happy". Yes, she is happy. Even when she is crying she is usually just trying to tell us something like: I'm hungry, my belly hurts, I'm tired, dad's annoying me, etc. So, the next time you see Maleah and she's crying just remember this picture and smile.
2. Family and friends that really care about you. The main similarity between immediate family and really close friends is the fact that they love you no matter what. It doesn't matter if you say something stupid, make them mad, or even have an argument they will still be there. There are some instances where you can count on your friends more than your own family. You would never expect family to ever get mad enough about foolish things to stop talking to you, but it does happen. Trust me. A friend like Matt - who I've known since I was a little guy in a ninja turtle outfit - they last. They don't leave when things get tough. Matt is one of those people that even when I haven't talked to him for a couple weeks and haven't seen him for even longer we still can get into a conversation like I talked to him yesterday. Most family members are that way too. Most.
