58-4. Inadequate

No one cares about me.

No one loves me.

I am totally worthless.

I'm not special... to anyone.


Have you ever thought these things?  Have you ever felt the sting of despair that brings you to a breaking point? The point where this world tells you you're just not good enough?

Lies.  All lies.  Someone does care about you.  Someone does love you.  You will never be worthless.

You are special to Him.

God created you.  He formed you with His own hands.  How can anything God touches be anything less than beautiful? 

You don't look like everyone else, and that's actually a pretty great thing.  God isn't like Wal-mart; cranking out mass quantities of Justin Beiber dolls.... He took His time carefully crafting each one of us.

Psalms 139:14 says, "I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made" (NASB).

If we accept Christ as our savior we get the best affirmation of all: eternity in Heaven with Jesus!  That free gift does one other thing... we can stop relying on being "good enough" so that we'll get to Heaven. We can never be "good enough".... but we can be forgiven!

God doesn't make mistakes.  You may not feel loved or appreciated all of the time on this earth.  That's because our joy isn't of this world.  When we place our faith in the things of this world, we get worldly results.

However, when our faith and hope is put in the One who created us... the One who sent His Son for us... the One whose blood was shed for us.... we should never feel inadequate ever again.

God is so cool. :)
