Super Government to the Rescue

In May of 2007 I wrote a post about how the gas had skyrocketed to $3.49/gal. Since then we've seen prices up to and over $4.00/gal. Today, I just paid $3.09/gal.

As the Dow drops (no clue what that even means) it is good to know that AT LEAST FOR NOW gas prices are lower.

I'm glad there is something going well. I cannot help but be frustrated by politicians who are constantly telling us how bad of shape we are in. Liberals blaming Bush. Bush blaming predatory lenders. Lenders blaming borrowers for borrowing too much. Borrowers blaming the government... and so it goes.

Can we be responsible for ourselves, for crying out loud? Bush did not sign your paperwork on your mortgage. Lenders did not make you borrow more than you should. You did. The government is supposed to assist us - not control us. Work for us... and not the other way around.

No more bail outs. No more hand outs. Take care of yourself. Think for yourself. Maybe then the government can get the heck out of the way and let the people have a chance.

This country owes you nothing by default. You have to work for it like the people that came before you.

Obama won't help you from screwing up your own life; neither will John McCain. Only you can do it. You. No one else. You.

Call me a crazy right-winger nut job that clings to my religion. I don't care. I don't want the government to run my life... I don't want the government to ruin my life.

    That's it...I'm moving to Ohio!

Our gas (when the stations have it) is still $3.79/gallon.

Did the government help you write this?

Mary, don't move to Ohio. They're going to screw up the election.
