She Said "Da", Lord's Supper, Football Losses

3BT for 11/12/07

1. Maleah said, "da" this weekend. It wasn't an official "da-da" moment, but she finally found her d's! :) We were at our Sunday School teacher's house and she was having a lot of fun. She was making "ba" sounds, but had her mouth closed. So, "da" was born!

2. The Lord's Supper. I never grow tired of taking the Lord's Supper (aka Communion). I don't need to be reminded of what Jesus did for me - or why He even did it. Sometimes, I just need to be reminded that He is the most important thing in my life. Our focus gets blurred and we forget what is truly important. The Lord's Supper brings my attention back to Christ so that I remember why I was put on this earth...to serve Him.

3. The Buckeyes and the Browns lost... and I don't care. Between the Big Ten Network blocking games this year to the debates gone awry; I find myself not caring too much that the Buckeyes lost. Would I have liked to watch them in the national championship? Yes. Would I have liked to listen to weeks of "they don't deserve to be here" talk? Absolutely not. Besides, we still have the Rose Bowl to fight for. As far as the Browns losing? They fought their heart out and almost beat one of the best teams in the AFC. Nothing to be ashamed of. Besides they're still 2nd in the AFC North! :)

Sorry this went so long. Had a lot to say. If anyone references the Buckeyes in the comments I'll delete it. No freedom of speech here. :)

  1. The Browns would've had it tied if it wasn't for the wind! So close! :)

  2. I feel your pain dude. The Colts, Hoosiers football team, and the Mighty Gnaw Bone Drowl Bears went down in flames this week too! The Colts are off to their worst start in three years!!

Sorry about your Browns and the team located in the central region of a state between Indiana and Pennsylvania. I watched the Browns game but not the team located in the central region of a state between Indiana and Pennsylvania.

  3. And to add insult to injury: didn't the basketball team from central region of a state between Indiana and Pennsylvania lose to Findlay? OUCH!

It's been a BAD sports week around here for both of us.

  4. That's pretty funny that the "worst start in 3 years" is two losses after 10 weeks! :) The Browns are off to one of their best starts in years at 5-4!!
