Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a day that we all stop and think of how blessed we truly are. It does not matter what has happened in our lives over the past year; we can all still think of the many things we have to be thankful for. Family and friends will gather around a table for food, fun, and fellowship. Thanksgiving always brings people together to share jokes while turkey is carved or to "make room" for that piece of pumpkin pie. We will watch the parades and football games, or fall asleep trying! The most important thing is the time together; no matter how that time is spent.

In all of our blessings we can often lose sight that some people are less fortunate. There might be someone in your neighborhood that cannot afford to buy everything they need for a Thanksgiving meal. Giving them an extra box of stuffing or a can of corn will be much appreciated. There might be an elderly man or woman who will be all alone this year. Sitting and talking to them might be just what they need this Holiday season. Take time to give back from your blessings. You will have even more to be thankful for next year!

Some of you will be traveling this week to visit with friends and family. Please obey speed limits and be cautious of other drivers. Have a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving Day!
